L2 Empuraan FIRST LOOK: Prithviraj Sukumaran unleashes warrior mode as the ‘General’ of the Emperor Mohanlal

The highly anticipated L2 Empuraan starring Mohanlal as the leading man has garnered much anticipation ever since it was announced. With Prithviraj Sukumaran directing the entertainer, the film will take us further into the world of Lucifer as it unveils multiple layers of the character who was once known as Stephen Nedumpally in a small village in Kerala. While the 2019 political action drama did give us a glimpse of his life as feared gangster Khureshi Ab’raam, L2: Empuraan will dive deeper.

After doing a cameo in Lucifer, Prithviraj Sukumaran has now unveiled his look marking his presence in L2: Empuraan as a key character. While his role appeared to be just a cameo in the prequel, this one will explore more about General Zayed Masood. Taking to Instagram, the popular Malayalam actor unveiled his first look from the film and going by his suited avatar with body armour, gloves, and a rifle, it seems that his character is geared up for a war. Introducing his character to the audience, Prithviraj captioned it saying, “Forsaken by God…nurtured by the DEVIL! #ZayedMasood The Emperor’s General. #L2E #EMPURAAN”.

 

 

In the post, the actor also tagged the entire team of the film which not only includes protagonist Mohanlal but also other actors like Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Saniya Iyappan, Indrajit Sukumaran, among others. Furthermore, the crew too from the prequel has been maintained which includes cinematographer Sujith Vasudevan, film editor Akhilesh Menon, and music director Deepak Dev.

 

Produced under the banner Lyca Productions and Aashirwad Cinemas, the actor also revealed in his social media post that the film will be a pan India entertainer that will release in not just Malayalam but also in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.
