Kamal Haasan Productions SK21 starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi goes on floors in Kashmir

The Tamil film industry has been buzzing with excitement since #SK21 was announced as it unites Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP). Not too long ago, we had reported that the makers are currently finalizing the team of the film and music composer G V Prakash was roped in for this untitled venture. Now we hear that this Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi starrer is all set to kick off its shoot schedule in Kashmir.

SK21, written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, promises to showcase Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan in a way that his fans have never seen before on the big screen. The film, which is a expected to be tale of ‘Guts and Gore’ is high on patriotism elements and fans are also excited to watch his pairing with Sai Pallavi. The movie is said to have gone on floors on May 5, Friday, in Kashmir. If sources are to be believed this will be a long two-month schedule featuring some of the most stunning locations from the valley.

 

After making their debut in Telugu with the Adivi Sesh starrer Major, Sony Pictures International Productions has now entered the world of Tamil cinema with yet another story which will be celebrating India and its heroes and promises to entertain audiences worldwide. The film, which is being referred to as SK21, will be produced by Kamal Haasan, Sony Pictures International Productions, and R. Mahendran.

 

 

The announcement of the film was held at a grand event in Chennai in the presence of producers Kamal Haasan, Mr. R. Mahendran, actors Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Rajkumar Periasamy, and composer GV Prakash. The technical crew also includes production designer Rajeevan, cinematographer CH Sai, editor R. Kalaivanan, and action director Stefan Richter. The film is co-produced by God Bless Entertainment and the release date as well as further details are currently kept under wraps.

 

This is RKFI's 51st production, the 50th being Vikram which was a Pan India action venture directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
