BREAKING: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning sells 8,000 tickets a week before release; Tom Cruise starrer all set for a SMASHING Rs. 12 crores plus opening

One of the biggest Hollywood films of 2025, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, is all set to release next week. In an unusual move, it will arrive on Saturday, May 17 and not Friday. The advance booking of the film quietly opened yesterday, on Friday, May 9, and surprisingly, it has received a fantastic response.

As per the data accessed by Bollywood Hungama, as of May 10 at 10:00 am, around 8,000 tickets have been sold of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. The previous part, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part One (2023), had sold 1.25 lakh tickets and it went on to open at Rs. 12.27 crores. The exhibition sources are confident that the new film will beat the opening day record of the 2023 flick.

 

A trade source commented, “People started booking tickets more than a week before. Many IMAX shows are already fast-filling. This shows the tremendous excitement for the film. By the time the film is up for release, the number of tickets sold is expected to cross the 1.25 lakh mark, if all goes well. As a result, it should open better than Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part One.”

 

An industry insider remarked, “This is not surprising since Tom Cruise has a fan following across all ages and moviegoers love watching him in this series. However, there was some concern due to the India-Pakistan conflict, with many speculating that the footfalls would be impacted. But the urgency to buy tickets for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning makes it clear that the theatrical business is going on normally in the country. Hopefully, this will give a signal to our Bollywood producers that they should not worry about collections.” 

 

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will also boost the Hollywood market in India. Until now, not a single new film has become a hit in 2025. In fact, the biggest grosser this year has been Interstellar, which collected Rs. 29 crores on its re-release. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning should be the first major success and also cross the Rs. 100 crore mark, if the situation doesn’t deteriorate and if reports are positive.
