Anna Lore talks about her role as Julia in Final Destination: Bloodlines; says, “She loves her family and is protective of her brothers”

The latest installment in New Line Cinema’s Final Destination franchise, Final Destination: Bloodlines, directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, revisits the origins of Death’s unsettling design.

Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefani heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle - her grandmother, Iris - and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

 

Playing the role of Julia is actor Anna Lore. “Julia is sarcastic,” says Lore of her character - cousin and middle sister between Erik and Bobby. “I don’t think of her as very warm, but she loves her family and is protective of her brothers. When Stefani uncovers the plot that Death is coming for them, Julia is very skeptical. I feel like she doesn’t understand it. She’s definitely rolling her eyes at the whole thing. But we find out that Death is about the only thing you should probably not roll your eyes at,” she quips.

 

“I feel like this is different from other FINAL DESTINATION films, because it’s going to break your heart a little bit,” says Lore. “The whole film hinges on the relationships of a family, and the more you love this family, the sadder it ends up being. One of the things about FINAL DESTINATION is that no one deserves it.”

 

She recalls preparing for her audition and reading a particularly harrowing scene with her little brother. “I’m screaming throughout the scene, and afterwards he says, ‘That was pretty good, you know?’ He seemed a little upset. And I was like, ‘Oh no, I’m sorry!’ I shouldn’t have used him because I made my little brother watch me scream and cry and generally be a mess for two minutes!”

 

Along with Anna Lore, “Final Destination Bloodlines” stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Rya Kihlstedt, with Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd. The screenplay is by Guy Busick & Lori Evans Taylor, and the story is by Jon Watts and Guy Busick & Lori Evans Taylor. It is based on characters created by Jeffrey Reddick.

 

New Line Cinema presents A Practical Pictures / Freshman Year / Fireside Films Production: “Final Destination Bloodlines.” Distributed in Cinemas worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, the film will release in Cinemas in India on Thursday May 15, 2025.
