South Korean actor Jang Ki Yong is currently in talks to star in new fantasy drama titled Although I Am Not a Hero (literal title).

According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, Although I Am Not a Hero tells the story of a supernatural family who lost their powers. The actor is offered the role of the male lead who loses his superpowers due to a modern disease.

 

“It is true that our agency actor Jang Ki Yong received a casting offer from Although I Am Not a Hero,” Jang Ki Yong’s agency YG Entertainment shared in a statement. “However, [his appearance in the drama] has not been confirmed yet, and he is currently reviewing [the offer].”

 

The new drama will be helmed by Snowdrop director Cho Hyun Tak and screenplay will be scripted by writer Joo Hwa Mi who previously worked on Waiting for Love, Marriage, Not Dating, Introverted Boss, and Meow, the Secret Boy.

 

Meanwhile, Jang Ki Yong enlisted in the military in August 2021. The actor will be discharged on February 22. His work credits include Come and Hug Me, Now We Are Breaking Up and My Roommate is a Gumiho among others.
