Vivek Oberoi joins the Pawri Ho Rahi Hai trend; dedicates it to the Mumbai Police

The ‘Pawri Ho Rahi Hai’ trend on social media has got everyone hooked and people have been coming up with their own creative version of the Pawri trend. Actor Vivek Oberoi too joined the trend and has dedicated his video to the Mumbai Police.

On Wednesday, Vivek Oberoi shared a video of him doing the Pawri trend where he is seen introducing himself, his bikes and a copy of the fine that was levied on him by the police for driving without a helmet. Sharing the video, he wrote, "This is for you @mumbaipolice #pawtikatgayihai#PawriNahiHoRahiHai"

 

 

For those unaware, on Valentine's Day, Vivek Oberoi had shared a video of him going on a bike ride with his wife Priyanka. Soon, the video came to the notice of the Mumbai Police who levied a fine on the actor for driving without a helmet. Followers and fans of the actor also pointed out that the actor and his wife were not wearing a mask which has been made mandatory amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Reportedly, an FIR was also registered against Vivek Oberoi at Juhu Police Station in Mumbai on February 19 for not wearing a mask. It was registered under Section 129/177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, Section 21, of the Maharashtra Covid-19 Measures 2020.

 

After being levied a fine, Vivek had also tweeted about it thanking the Police for making him realise that safety is always important. "Pyaar humein kis mod pe le aaya!Nikle they nayi bike par hum aur hamari jaan, bina helmet ke kat gaya chalaan!Riding without a helmet?Mumbai police will do a checkmate!Thank u @mumbaipolice for making me realise that safety is always most important. Be safe,Wear a helmet & a mask," he had tweeted.
