Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan kick-start shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar’s next

Mahesh Manjrekar is back on the filmmaking circuit with his next Hindi directorial. We had earlier reported that the filmmaker has roped in Shruti Haasan and Vidyut Jammwal for his film. The actress last shared screen space with Vidyut in Yaara but the film is yet to hit the silver screen.

Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan have begun shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar’s next produced by Vijay Galani. Vidyut took to his Instagram to share a picture with Shruti and Mahesh from their mahurat shot. Shruti is seen holding a clapboard whilst posing with the duo. He captioned the photo, “New day, new beginnings. It's Day 1 of my next film directed by #MaheshManjrekar! @shrutzhaasan.” The movie is a action drama of a gangster. The shooting of the same has commenced in Mumbai today.

 

As reported earlier, Vidyut Jammwal will play the role of an NRI businessman. As he returns to his hometown in Mumbai, he realizes how his world has turned completely upside down. Shruti Haasan plays Vidyut’s love interest and their romance creates more drama between two warring families.

 

Written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, the movie is produced by Vijay Galani & Pratik Galani - Banner Galani Entertainments. Shruti Haasan was last seen in the Bollywood film Behen Hogi Teri opposite Rajkummar Rao. Vidyut Jammwal was last seen in Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi starrer Baadshaho.
