Shah Rukh Khan shares EXCITING details about his King character at fan event: "He's a KHOONI; maar deta hai aur poochhta bhi nahin…DON'T follow in his footsteps!"

Shah Rukh Khan interacted with fans like never before at a fan event held in an auditorium in Mumbai on November 2, 2025, that is, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. This was the day when the much-awaited glimpse of his upcoming film, King, was unveiled, and it broke the internet. Bollywood Hungama was one of the few websites to report that the title announcement and glimpse of King would be released on November 2.

At this fan event, SRK shared interesting details about King. Shah Rukh Khan began by saying, “The distinction of hero and villain has been created by people. Early in my career, I worked in Darr (1993). In today’s times, he would be considered a villain or a stalker. Main Don (2006), Anjaam (1994) aur Baazigar (1993) mein bura raha hoon. I feel we should keep doing something interesting in our films. Or else, wohi shots honge – hero aayega, do gaane gaayega, do fight karega aur chala jaayega.”

 

He added, “My character in King is very interesting. Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh ne usko bahut prem se likha hai. Usme bahut saari buraiyaan hai. He’s a khooni. Woh maar deta hai aur poochhta bhi nahin ki kitne the!”

 

SRK then remarked, “It's important for heroes like me to play different kinds of roles, some of them can be inspiring, aspiring, comic, romantic.” He continued, “It has become difficult to make films. You need to make films carefully, so that you down let down the audience. I have 2-4 such gandi films.”

 

Coming back to King, Shah Rukh Khan stated, “He’s a very dark character and a very grey character. He’s also quite ruthless. All the lines in the promos aptly describe him. It’s made on a grand scale and I hope all you guys love the film. This doesn’t mean that you guys should follow in his footsteps!”
