Sara Arjun’s father clarifies “No Toxicity, only Dhurandhar” post; says actress is not on X
A social media post allegedly linked to actress Sara Arjun recently sparked debate online after it appeared to mock the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The discussion gained traction as the post surfaced during ongoing comparisons between the film and Dhurandhar: The Revenge on social media.
Earlier, trade circles and exhibitors had been closely watching the potential box office clash between Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, both initially slated for release around March 19, 2026. However, the makers of the Yash-starrer later postponed the film, citing geopolitical tensions in West Asia linked to the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict. Toxic is now scheduled to arrive in theatres on June 4, 2026.
The latest controversy began when a post circulated on X with the line, “No toxicity, only Dhurandhar.” Many users believed the message had been shared by Sara Arjun, who features in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, interpreting it as a dig at Toxic, particularly in the context of the earlier box office rivalry between the two films.
As speculation intensified online, Sara Arjun’s father, actor Raj Arjun, issued a clarification through Instagram. He stated that the account responsible for the post was fake and emphasised that his daughter does not have a presence on X.
His statement read, “Hi everyone, a fake account is circulating a post in Sara's name saying, ‘No toxicity, only Dhurandhar.’ For clarity – Sara is not on Twitter – and she would never write something like this.”
