Rithvik Dhanjani urges India to celebrate Athletes progress over medal comparisons
Rithvik Dhanjani is a well-known Indian actor and television host, celebrated for his dynamic performances across various mediums. With a career spanning television dramas, reality shows, and hosting roles, Dhanjani has become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
In an exclusive with Bollywood Hungama, Rithvik shared a compelling perspective on India’s performance in international sports. He argued that rather than focusing on how India's medal tally compares to other nations, the emphasis should be on acknowledging the substantial progress Indian athletes have made over the years.
He said, “Instead if comparing ourselves to the medal tally of other nations Indians need to be proud of how far our athletes have come from where began.” He highlighted that the journey of Indian athletes is marked by resilience and improvement, reflecting broader advancements in the sports sector within the country.
Rithvik pointed out that India’s sports landscape has evolved considerably, with athletes overcoming numerous challenges to reach their current level of success. Historically, Indian sports have faced limitations in terms of resources and infrastructure, which have impacted performance on the global stage. Despite these challenges, athletes have shown remarkable growth and determination.
On the work front, Recently, he has garnered attention for his involvement in the new project Lockdown Ki Love Story, a television series that explores romantic relationships under the constraints of a lockdown. His role in this project has further showcased his versatility and engagement with contemporary themes, solidifying his status as a versatile and influential figure in Indian entertainment.
