In a concerning incident, Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna found herself at the centre of a cybercrime controversy as her deepfake video went viral on social media platforms. The video showcased a woman, dressed in black, entering an elevator, with her face cleverly replaced by that of the renowned actress. While many social media users promptly recognized the video as fake, Amitabh Bachchan offered a different perspective on the matter.

A vigilant journalist came forward to confirm the video's falseness, highlighting the urgent need for a legal and regulatory framework to address the growing issue of deepfakes in India. From the perspective of deepfake technology, the viral video was remarkably convincing, making it easy for the average social media user to fall for its authenticity. However, upon closer inspection, an astute observer could notice a key detail: at the one-second mark of the video, as Rashmika (deepfake) entered the lift, her face swiftly transitioned from the impersonated individual to Rashmika Mandanna.

 

Amitabh Bachchan shared his post again and emphasized the necessity of legal action against such occurrences. He wrote, “Yes this is a strong case for legal.”

 

 

 

On the professional front, Rashmika Mandanna is gearing up for her next film, Animal, where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie features a stellar cast, including Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, and is slated to hit the theatres on December 1, promising an engaging cinematic experience.

 

Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand has the much-anticipated sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD helmed by Nag Ashwin, also featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. This ambitious project is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Adding to his lineup, Amitabh Bachchan is set to appear in Ribhu Dasgupta's Section 84. Furthermore, exciting news has surfaced regarding his collaboration with superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming project Thalaivar 170, which also features an ensemble cast, including Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil.
