Ranveer Singh gives a warm hug to Laxmi Agarwal at Chhapaak premiere

Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak has finally released worldwide. The film, helmed by Meghna Gulzar, has earned Rs. 4.77 crores on its first day. The inspiration behind the story was Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked with acid at the age of 15 by a 32-year-old man. But, her story has been inspirational as he powered through her tough phase and continues to work towards helping the acid attack surviours.

At the screening, she got an opportunity to meet Ranveer Singh and received a warm hug from him. Sharing a photo, she wrote, “It's a cute picture with u ???? you are the best ❤ @ranveersingh. Movie dekhane ke baad ke Moment.”

 

 

 

Post the screening, Ranveer also praised the entire team’s hard work in a heartwarming post. “Meghna, your film gives the audience hope and courage. It shows you the best and worst of humanity in a kaleidoscopic cinematic spectrum. It elucidates a subject that we’ve only ever heard of but never really fully understood. Chhapaak released on January 10, 2020. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be starring in ’83 as Kapil Dev and Romi Dev. The film is releasing on April 10, 2020.
