Sunny Deol is the latest candidate to join Bhartiya Janta Party and within hours of joining the party, he received the ticket to contest elections from the Gurdaspur constituency. The news was kept under wraps for a very long time, and Sunny Deol finally took to his social media to announce the news. While his fans are thrilled, this seemed to have left late actor Vinod Khanna’s wife Kavita miffed with the situation.

She was upset that despite having worked for the constituency for over 2 decades, and being a ticket aspirant, she did not receive it. However, Sunny has made no comments on the situation so far. He also recently met PM Narendra Modi which has left the followers of both these people thrilled beyond belief. The Prime Minister took to his Twitter to share the pictures and was extremely pleased to have met the actor. They’re really looking forward to work on the betterment of the nation. PM Modi tweeted, “What struck me about @iamsunnydeol is his humility and deep passion for a better India. Happy to have met him today. We are all rooting for his victory in Gurdaspur! We both agree- हिन्दुस्तान जिंदाबाद था, है, और रहेगा!”

On the professional front, Sunny Deol will be seen starring in an action thrilled, Blank, along with debutant Karan Kapadia. He is also the cousin of Twinkle Khanna and has shot a song titled ‘Ali Ali’ with Akshay Kumar. The song has become quite a hit among the fans. Releasing on May 3, Karan will be seen playing the role of a suicide bomber in Blank.
