"With the look in place, I got into her shoes easily" - says Sanya Malhotra about Shakuntala Devi

Sanya Malhotra has a plate full of characters, having full of variety in it and will surely make her 2020 memorable with all her upcoming films. In 2020, Sanya Malhotra has three releases lined up for this year Shakuntala Devi, Pagglait and Ludo.

Every actor has a distinct process of preparing for their roles, and Sanya Malhotra says she thoroughly enjoys the process of prepping before a film. Talking about how she preps for Shakuntala Devi where she plays the role of her daughter, Anupama Banerjee.

 

“My character in Shakuntala Devi is based on a real person, her daughter Anupama Banerjee. I believe that 70% of our job is done by the makeup and hair department. With the look in place, I got into her shoes easily. My director, too, helped me a lot to understand my character in the movie,” Sanya explained how she got the nuances right for the character.

 

On the work front, she will also be seen in Anurag Basu's untitled next opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. Both films are slated to release this year. The actress also is all set for the release of her Pagglait with Guneet Monga and Ekta Kapoor for which she has been shooting for the same in Lucknow.
