Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2018: SLAY MODE ON as Kareena Kapoor Khan turns into a smoldering GLAMAZON for Monisha Jaising!

As the face of the cosmetic giant, Lakme, Kareena Kapoor Khan takes her designated job of being a showstopper at the closing night of the Lakme Fashion Week every year with absolute seriousness. This time, for Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2018 edition, Kareena turned showstopper (literally so!)  for feted fashion designer, Monisha Jaising and needless to say, she aced it and how! Making that much-anticipated appearance at the closing show of the five-day fashion extravaganza, Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2018, Kareena Kapoor sashayed down the ramp with that unmistakable spunk and an unmissable an air of glamour. Jaising closed the fashion week with her 'Shades of a Diva' collection that is inspired by the designer's passion for art, music and modern architecture and promises to appeal to the diverse personalities, moods and attitudes of Indian women. For Kareena, it is always a pleasure for her to come back to LFW runway and she was excited to walk for Monisha. She said, "Being a part of the Lakme Absolute Grand Finale is always very special for me. To come on the runway and represent the brand I love. But this season is even more special as we have something big coming up and I cannot wait to reveal this to everyone.”

 

Well, the big surprise is the exclusive makeup collection for Lakme Absolute. A total of 65 shades of a diva have been envisioned by the designer and the collection is primarily inspired by a diva’s lifestyle, and the spots that she frequents—luncheon with her friends, an exotic destination wedding, lying by the poolside or grooving at a beach club party with the ‘it’ crowd.

 

 

Since a diva is an influencer who people look up to as a trendsetter, she would necessarily look to a statement, fashion-forward pieces, which is what our collection is about,” Jaising explained in an earlier statement.

 

 

 

 

From a dichotomous colour palette that began from sorbet hues like bleached aqua and seafoam green, and gradually progresses to cherry red, fuchsia pink and Pantone’s current darling, ultraviolet, the show was as colorful as it could get!

Kareena flaunted her svelte frame in a multi-hued pleated dress! The array of colours reflecting the collection’s essence, Shades Of a Diva befitted Kareena to the T.

 

 

Additionally, wavy hair, intense eyes, chiseled cheekbones and a jawline along with nude lips, courtesy makeup artist Mickey Contractor and hair stylist Yianni Tsapatori.

 

 

While the show ended with high fervor, this year’s take-away certainly ups the previous editions.

 

 

 

 

On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in Veere Di Wedding that went on to rake big moolah at the box office. She will be next seen in two Dharma Productions films, Good News and Takht.
