Kangana Ranaut has recently been sharing candid moments from post-parliament sessions on her Instagram. In her latest post, she captured Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other lawmakers enjoying a lighthearted moment.

Kangana's picture captures TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee smiling as he and Kangana converse with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The Congress MP is seen smiling with her head down, while other parliamentarians also share a laugh. Sharing the moment on her Instagram stories, Kangana wrote, “World is a stage and we are all playing our roles, a light hearted moment today with fellow parliamentarians #parliamentday.”

 

 

Last week, Kangana shared a similar picture, offering fans a candid look at behind-the-scenes moments in Parliament. She posted an image after a session with other ministers, captioning it, “Parliament adjourned till 2PM, everyone is waiting for it to start again.” The 2024 Lok Sabha elections marked her political debut, where she secured victory in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, defeating Congress' Vikramaditya Singh.

 

Following her 2023 films Chandramukhi 2 and Tejas, Kangana directed, produced, and starred in the Indira Gandhi biopic Emergency. Set during the 1975-77 Emergency imposed by the then-Congress government, the film faced significant delays due to censor issues. Released this year, it received mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office. It is now available for streaming on Netflix.

 

Kangana revealed to PTI that she had invited Indira Gandhi’s granddaughter, Priyanka Gandhi, to watch her biopic on the former Prime Minister. Recalling their conversation in Parliament, she said, “I met Priyanka Gandhi in the Parliament, and she was complimenting me about my work and about my hair. So, I was like, you know, I made this film Emergency and maybe you should see it. And she was like, okay, maybe.”
