Kalki and Prosenjit's liplock in Shanghai

 

Kalki Koechlin is not new to onscreen kissing scenes. She has had kissing scenes in films like Shaitan and Dev D but that is nothing like the passionate kiss she shares with Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee in Dibakar Banerjee's Shanghai.

But what is interesting is that while shooting for the intense smooching scene, Kalki landed up biting Prosenjit's lips. Kalki plays a complex character in the film and the scene was very high on emotions for which Kalki had to bring her emotions to the boiling point.

 

While shooting for the scene, Dibakar just asked her to attack Prosenjit and forgot to say cut after he was done filming the scene. The duo continued kissing and Kalki landed up biting Prosenjit's lips.

 

Shanghai, also starring Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Deol in pivotal roles and produced by PVR Pictures, releases on June 8.
