EXCLUSIVE: “Ananya Panday doesn’t take herself very seriously which is amazing,” says Lakshya on working with her in Chand Mera Dil
Lakshya succeeded in winning hearts last year with his powerful performance in the action entertainer Kill, which was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. But the actor will now be seen in a completely different character in his second film Chand Mera Dil. Directed by Vivek Soni and produced again by Dharma Productions, the film will see him play a romantic main lead.
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama about the TV premiere of Kill, Lakshya spoke about his different avatar in Chand Mera Dil. He said, “Chand Mera Dil is very different from Kill. In this film, I really have to be a boy. I have to operate from my heart. Chal rahi hai. I am doing my best. Uska hi shoot chalu hai abhi.”
Chand Mera Dil will see Lakshya star opposite Ananya Panday. Speaking about his experience of working with her, the actor said, “Badhiya ja raha hai. Mazaa aa raha hai. She is very giving. She is a wonderful human being. It’s very easy to work with her and it’s very easy to communicate with her. Before every scene, we talk and discuss. It doesn’t feel as if I am working with someone who has fame. She doesn’t take herself very seriously, which is absolutely amazing about her.”
Before Chand Mera Dil, Vivek Soni’s last two directorial ventures include the Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dasani starrer Netflix movie Meenakshi Sundareshwar and a segment from the Amazon Prime Video anthology Love Storiyaan.
