Elisha Mayor reveals her ultimate dance dream and why Hai Junoon! hit close to home
Elisha Mayor has delivered a breakout performance in Hai Junoon! Dream. Dare. Dominate., the 2025 musical drama series from Jio Creative Lab, directed by Abhishek Sharma. The show premiered on May 16, 2025 on JioHotstar and stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Siddharth Nigam, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sumedh Mudgalkar.
But behind the high-energy routines and fierce competitions, Elisha carries a quieter passion. “My biggest junoon in real life is to one day dance on screen like Madhuri Dixit,” she said. “I watch her videos every single night before bed. That’s how deep it runs.”
A trained Kathak dancer, Elisha has long admired Madhuri’s grace, emotion, and power—and her performance as Munmun is the first step toward realizing that dream. Though Munmun is nothing like her in real life, Elisha found deep meaning in portraying someone who hides parts of herself to survive.
“I’ve worked hard to live authentically, but Munmun doesn’t believe the world will accept her truth. Her journey of self-acceptance moved me deeply,” said Elisha.
Through the lens of music and dance, Hai Junoon! explores identity, rivalry, and the cost of chasing dreams. And for Elisha Mayor, it’s both a performance and a personal milestone. “This role challenged me in every way, but it also brought me closer to the kind of artist I want to become,” she added.
Hai Junoon! is not just a story about competition. It’s a celebration of ambition and dreams that come true!
