EXCLUSIVE: Ayushmann Khurrana opens up on his personal life, “I don’t consume a lot of films, my life lies outside movies”

All artists have their own way to master their art. Ayushmann Khurrana is one such actor who has given us great hits, not only though mainstream Bollywood movies, but also through films with topics that people not always discuss in the open. He is known for giving films with unique scripts and has given Bollywood a different direction. However, the actor said that he isn’t too much connected to films in his personal life.

In the Bollywood Hungama Best Actors Round Table 2022, Ayushmann said, “I think we got more time with family during pandemic. I was always empathetic and as an artist, you are in the business of selling emotions. When the director is saying action, you start crying or probably laughing, emoting different varied perspectives of life or maybe different characters. So, it is very important to have that zen-like quality and have that grounding which comes with family and friends”.

 

Expressing his life outside films, he added, “I'm not consumed by films. I think my life lies outside films. Of course, I'm happiest on the sets, but I have to live life to emote. I do not consume a lot (of) films. I probably consume more music or books. I have to live life outside cinema as it reflects the society”. Further, comparing himself with the young actors like Ishaan Khatter and Rohit Saraf he shared that in his 20s, he was all over the place. It was in his 30s that he realized and found that balance.

 

 

Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Anirudh Iyer’s An Action Hero with Jaideep Ahlawat. He will be next seen in Dream Girl 2 opposite Ananya Panday and in Dinesh Vijayan’s next opposite Samantha Prabhu.
