Akshay Kumar's Rustom releases on 2900 screens worldwide, sees massive arrival globally

 

Rustom is seeing a very good release globally. Here are the details:

 

Total screen count globally: ~2900

 

Break-up:

 

India: 2317 screens

 

Overseas: 565 screens

 

The film is arriving on a massive scale globally. Apart from regular markets (Gulf, USA, Canada, Australia, UK etc.), the film is also being released in countries like Japan, Philippines, Switzerland, Holland, Austria, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and more.

 

Girish Johar of Zee Studios further elaborated, "We have gone all across the board as the response has been so fabulous right from the time the promo was unveiled. Rustom is definitely one of the most focused releases of Akshay Kumar. Moreover, this is also the widest release for a film belonging to this genre."

 

Moreover, the producers have also done well to secure a Jon Doe order.

 

"Yes, we have done that. We want to combat piracy by all means. It needs to be eradicated not just for Rustomin particular but for all films that come out of the industry," Girish adds.

 

One looks forward to the final product now, what with the film already in theatres. That said, the economics of the film further warrant that while it would be a definite earner, good profits are on the cards as well. Stay tuned for more updates.
