Abhay Deol has been sharing some of his best works so far on his Instagram. He admits that it was Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise that pushed him a little to call out the lobby culture in Bollywood. Even though the two did not know each other personally, Abhay could relate to Sushant’s career. He had also pointed out how a prominent award show had sidelined Farhan Akhtar and him during Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, despite knowing that they were lead actors in the film, too.

Abhay Deol spoke about how this Dibakar Banerjee directorial is extremely relevant in today’s time and a film on Bollywood can be made with a similar plot. He further said that he’s not sure if today’s outrage will give rise to an independent Hindi film and music industry but he feels good that there are a lot of people voicing their opinions.
