Box Office: Bhoomi is a disaster

 

Bhoomi had turned out to be a big disaster at the Box Office with collections in the range of Rs. 11.50-12 crore*. The situation seemed bleak for the film right on the opening day itself but when collections didn't turn better over the weekend, it was pretty much a given that weekdays would emerge as downer.Box Office: Bhoomi is a disaster

 

This is what happened as the collections stayed right though and now the film is hardly in the running in the second week. Directed by Omung Kumar, the film has emerged as a disaster and added on to the list of big budget failures of the year.

 

As a matter of fact the film reminds of how Amitabh Bachchan's comeback affair Mrityudaata too had failed big time on its release around 20 years back. That film had still taken some sort of an opening but here Bhoomi didn't even have an initial going for it. Very disappointing!
