'The Rising': Latest Clarification

Following is the clarification note issued by the makers of the Aamir Khan starrer THE RISING: ENTERTAINMENT ONE CLARIFIES ITS ASSOCIATION WITH SAHARA INDIA MASS COMMUNICATION LTD. Probably due to lack of communication some issues have been misinterpreted and mis-quoted in the press regarding the role of Sahara India Mass Communication Ltd. in the film THE RISING, staring Aamir Khan and produced jointly by Ketan Mehta and Bobby Bedi. Entertainment One India Ltd. would like to bring to light that it had entered into a memorandum of understanding with Sahara India Mass Communication, to financially assist a couple of film projects including THE RISING. Mr. Manmohan Shetty clarified that Sahara India Mass Communication Ltd. was very much an integral part of THE RISING and not mere 'guests at the mahurat of the film' as mis-quoted by the media. It is unfortunate that due to certain issues related to Ms. Aishwarya Rai, Sahara India Mass Communication Ltd. has had to take a stand to pull out of this project, and we respect their decision. Entertainment One India Ltd. and Sahara India Pariwar would like to have a long-standing relationship in times to come. We would like to put an end to unnecessary media speculations.
