'Tezaab' dispute settled

By Bollywood Hungama -

t's not just KHAKEE that has been postponed to another date. Initially scheduled for a November 28 release, KHAKEE will now hit the screens in the Christmas week -- December 26.

Similarly, TEHZEEB was supposed to release on November 21, but has now been shifted to December 5. "We didn't want to release the film during Ramzan," director Khalid Mohamed tells me, citing the reason for moving the release date ahead. He adds, "Now, I'll have the luxury of devoting two more weeks to the post-production."

The release of Fox-Ramgopal Varma-S.R.B. Films' EK HASINA THI has also been shifted ahead. The film was supposed to release in October, then November, but will now arrive on January 2 or 9, 2004.

"We didn't want EK HASINA THI to get sandwiched between KAL HO NAA HO [November 28], L.O.C. [December 12] and KHAKEE [December 26]," Anil Bohra of S.R.B. Films states, "January 2/9 seems like a clear week, so we may come on either of the dates. However, a decision will be arrived at once Ramu-ji [RGV] returns to Mumbai."
