Sooraj Panscholi approaches HC for bail
Sooraj Panscholi's bail plea in relation to his indictment in the suicide of Jiah Khan was rejected last week by the session's court. Now we hear that the Panscholis have approached the Mumbai High Court seeking bail for Sooraj.

In its ruling the sessions court had observed that Jiah Khan was depressed after having an abortion, she was mentally and physically tortured by Sooraj Panscholi, which pushed her to commit suicide. Based on this aspect, the sessions court thus rejected Sooraj's bail application.
Sooraj, who is currently in jail on the charges of abetting the suicide of Jiah Khan, states in his bail plea that he is innocent and that Rabiya is misusing Jiah's letter. The High Court is likely to hear the bail application on July 5.
