Parambrata Chatterjee to star is Hollywood film 'Sold'

Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee, who impressed one and all with his sensitive portrayal of a cop in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani earlier this year, has bagged a plum Hollywood project.

 

The talented actor has been roped in by Oscar winning director Jeffrey D Brown to star in his forthcoming film Sold which deals with child trafficking. Sold, which is set in Nepal and Kolkata, tells the story of a 13 year old girl who becomes a part of the flesh trade. The buzz is that the film will also star Naomi Watts.

Confirming the same, Parambrata said, "Yes, I am doing the film but it's early to reveal any other details."

 

Parambrata has also been approached to star in a film produced by Nikhil Advani and directed by Gaurav Chawla but the actor is yet to sign on the dotted line.
