When this writer first broke the news of John Matthew Mathan finalizing SHIKHAR as the title for his Ajay Devgan-Shahid Kapoor starrer way back on September 8, a few upstarts [we refuse to call them journalists], who are known for their desk-job stories, promptly denied the news, without even confirming from official sources. In fact, they couldnt even copy the spelling right and called it SHIKAAR [real dimwits!] in their article. Worse, they added that the film might be titled JEEVANSH [some imagination!]. We kept quiet simply because the producer requested us to [he wanted to announce the title at an appropriate time], but has now officially confirmed with us that the title is indeed SHIKHAR. Says Sanjay Bhattacharjii, a key associate of Mathan, We have acquired the said title from Ramgopal Varma. In fact, we have also finalized the release date: Its December 16. We stand vindicated, yet again!
