Keerthy Suresh has voiced strong concern over the rising misuse of artificial intelligence, especially after discovering morphed photos of herself circulating online. The National Award-winning actress, who joins a growing list of celebrities grappling with manipulated visuals and deepfakes, spoke candidly about the disturbing experience during an interaction with Zoom.

Calling the situation both worrying and intrusive, Keerthy said, "AI has become a huge problem. It has turned into a boon and a bane. We, humans invented technology but we are losing control over it. On social media, I was taken aback after seeing my picture in a certain outfit and I wondered if I ever wore it as it looked that real. Recently, the outfit I wore for a movie's pooja was altered in a unfavourable way, from a different angle. For a second, I was wondering, and then I realised that I didn't pose in such a way. It is definitely irritating and it is definitely hurting."
Her remarks highlight a growing concern across the entertainment industry. In recent months, several actors have condemned similar incidents, with Sai Pallavi reacting strongly after her Australian vacation photos were manipulated and shared widely. Not just actresses — industry veterans like Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan have also taken legal measures to safeguard their identity and likeness, filing court petitions to restrict the unauthorized use of their images and voices in AI-generated content.
Keerthy’s concerns underline the broader anxiety around the ethics and regulation of artificial intelligence — an issue that extends far beyond the celebrity community and poses a risk to the general public as well. As digital tools become more sophisticated, the challenge of keeping personal identity protected is becoming increasingly complex.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Keerthy Suresh is gearing up for the release of her much-awaited crime-comedy Revolver Rita. Directed by JK Chandru and produced under Passion Studios and The Route, the film features her in a dynamic lead role, supported by an ensemble cast including Radhika Sarathkumar, Sunil, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, Sendrayan and Super Subbarayan. With music by Sean Roldan, editing by Praveen K. L., and cinematography by Dinesh B. Krishnan, the film is slated to hit theatres on November 28, 2025.
Keerthy’s stand against AI misuse adds to the ongoing conversation about digital safety — a conversation that continues to gain urgency as the technology evolves.
