In a press conference held at his residence earlier this morning, Sanjay Dutt broke down and confessed that he hasn't filed for any plea requesting pardon and would be surrendering following the verdict announced by the Supreme Court last week sentencing Dutt to 5 years in jail.

Dutt, who addressed the media along with his sister Priya, said, "I have the highest respect for the Supreme Court and I have the highest respect for what the decision is and I will abide by all the terms and conditions that the honourable Supreme Court has put on me. The honourable Supreme Court has given me time to surrender and I will surrender at that time. I have not applied for any pardon. There are many other people who deserve pardon. With folded hands all I want to tell the media, the honourable citizens of my country is that when I am not going for a pardon, there is no debate about it."
