Detective Byomkesh Bakshi actress injured

Known for some of her popular roles in Bengali cinema, Swastika Mukherjee is all set to enter the world of commercial Bollywood cinema with YRF's Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. However, recently, the actress suffered serious injuries on her wrist and forearm after which rumours of her attempting suicide fueled up.

 

Swastika was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Kolkata, after which she underwent an hour long surgery. Now, the doctors claim that she is stable and out of danger. After speculations were on a rise about a possible suicide, Swastika's sister Ajopa Mukherjee stated that it was an accident and she got those wounds while she was at a friend's place. The police too rubbished the rumours of a suicide and claimed that the doctors have given a clean certificate and the possibility of any self-inflicted injury has been eliminated.

The police also maintained that no official complaint about the incident has been filed.
