Ajay Devgn jets to Goa to escape the heat

Fed up of the controversies surrounding the Diwali battle between Son Of Sardaar (SOS) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), Ajay has left with Kajol and his two children for a holiday in Goa, thereby killing two birds with one stone.

 

He not only avoided any further post-release comparisons and controversies, he also managed to get his wife out of the dilemma regarding attending the premiere of Yashraj Films' Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

However speaking about the same a source close to Ajay says, "Ajay wanted to celebrate the success of SOS and hence jetted off to Goa along with Kajol and family. As for aiding Kajol in avoiding the JTHJ premiere, she wasn't even invited for the celebrations despite her relations with the production house."

 

When contacted, director Ashwin Dhir chose to be diplomatic about the big Diwali box office battle. Says the director, "All I'll say is that I firmly believe there's room for two big films during Diwali. Haven't Indra Kumar's Dil and Rajkumar Santoshi's Ghayal done well on the same Friday? And what about Lagaan and Gadar Ek Prem Katha? They were both blockbusters on the same Friday? I sincerely want both SOS and Jab Tak Hai Jaan to be big successes."
