Adah Sharma can be termed as Bollywood's most enviable entrant. She has everything, beauty, talent, success, a happy home life, her mentors: her mother and father, a boyfriend and her second Vikram Bhatt film Phhir. Adah, not so freakishly scary after all, proves to be warm, intelligent company and maybe slightly more quirky than you'd imagine. Beautifully groomed, with her curly black hair pushed back and mischievous eyes, she comes over as a cross between a 'woman of conviction' and a 'woman of convention'. UK's Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama's London correspondent Devansh Patel caught up with the 'getting busy' unconventional beauty for a quick fired interview on her upcoming delayed film Phhir. Better late than never!

From playing a female lead in your debut film to a second fiddle in your next, would you tag Phhir as an easy way out film?

I play the female lead in Phhir just as I did in 1920. While 1920 was based on a 'woman' who gets possessed, Phhir is based on a 'man' whose wife goes missing. Just like in 1920, you won't see me for the first twelve or fifteen minutes of the film. Don't worry Once I'm on screen you'll be seeing me till the end credits. You must watch the film before you take my word for it though (laughs). Choosing films as a carrier option for me was like choosing a slightly complicated way. But if you enjoy what you are doing, easy and difficult are secondary. And of course, in films, there is no easy way out.

When do we start seeing you do a full on commercial fun caper?

Phhir and 1920 were both commercial films. I don't think you have a barrier anymore between art and commercial cinema. Any film that is successful is commercial now. If you mean commercial and fun as a comedy film, then to answer your question, my next after Phhir is a comedy.

If given a chance, would you work in a horror film directed or produced by RGV and why?

I have just begun my journey in films and I'm keenly desirous to work with everybody. Why? Because I don't create any unfavorable opinion towards anyone in the industry without knowledge thought or reason.

What fascinates you towards cinema as a person and as an actress?

When you watch or participate in a film, you experience so many things that you don't or can't in real life. You get to be legally schizophrenic. Being so many people, living so many lives and going through so many emotions, and some I didn't even know exist, enthralls me.

Do you think the delay in releasing Phhir might back fire just because Vikram Bhatt is more keen on releasing Three?

We released 1920 during the 'shraad' period which is said to be a terrible time to release a film. Apparently theatres stay empty. But just the opposite of that happened. I really don't know what backfires. No matter how forward with the various aspects of filmmaking we go and how much ever immense our knowledge grows, I think, no one in the industry will be able to answer questions about the fate of a film.

What change do you see in your co-actor Rajniesh Duggal from his previous film?

Every cell in the human body goes through changes by the second. So it would be wrong to say that Rajniesh has not changed. He came across as more confident, self assured, hard-working, absolute and as good looking as he was in his first film. We both started off together and have seen each other grow.

Any recent film you've seen and you've liked. Why?

Revolutionary Road, I thought Kate Winslet was fabulous and a few of her actions even gave me goose bumps and Shadow, because 'namumkin ko mumkin karne ke liye log arjun sherawat ko muh maangi keemat detey hai' (laughs).
