The Sabbir Khan directed film Munna Michael released on Friday July 21. Starring Tiger Shroff, Nidhhi Agerwal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, this film that is primarily aimed at masses underperformed on its first day.
In this box office report, we take a look at the opening day collections of Munna Michael that released across 3000 screens within India while comparing the same to the opening day collections of Tiger Shroff’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 6.65 cr, this action dance musical ranks as Tiger’s third highest opening day grosser. The film fails in surpassing the collections of Baaghi that had a rocking opening at Rs. 11.94 cr. It even failed to reach the opening day collections of A Flying Jatt. It had collected Rs. 7.10 cr but it had the advantage of a partial holiday.
On the other hand, Munna Michael performed better than Tiger Shroff’s debut film Heropanti which collected Rs. 6.63 cr. If Munna Michael had earned Rs. 2 lakhs less, then it would have been Tiger Shroff’s lowest grosser.
