Mom had her voice heard during the first week with collections touching Rs. 23.80 crore. Though these are not extraordinary numbers, they still give the film a chance to hang on. As a matter of fact Sridevi's last Hindi release English Vinglish had brought in Rs. 21.75 after its first week so the numbers brought by Mom are slightly better. However, one must also remember that there is a gap of half a decade between the two films.
The film has managed to find showcasing in the second week too and that is fair considering the fact that biggie Jagga Jasoos has arrived on a good number of screens. However, the genre of both these films is different which means Mom should be able to find traction amidst its target audience. Had the film seen much bigger collections over the weekend and then the weekdays, one could well have anticipated a bigger lifetime for the Sridevi starrer. However for now it is looking like challenging the lifetime numbers of English Vinglish [Rs. 40 crore] though not much beyond that.
As for Guest Iin London, it has managed to touch the Rs. 9 crore* mark, though one doesn't foresee much of an increment in numbers from this point on. The film had expected drops during the weekdays and now in the second week it has managed to find a few shows for itself. Expect Rs. 2-3 crore more to come in from here for the film.
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
