Vivek Oberoi is playing the super-villain in Sandeep Vanga’s Spirit. He will lock horns with Prabhas. The climactic face-off between the two will remind audiences of Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor’s mesmerizing face-off in Animal.
In fact, if the truth be told, Vanga considered Bobby to play the arch-villain in Spirit. But the director wanted to preserve Deol’s diabolism for the Animal sequel, which will roll in 2027.
For Spirit, which began shooting this year, Vivek Oberoi’s look is so unique that the actor was unable to recognize himself in the mirror after makeup every morning.
Although Vivek is not supposed to talk about his role, a source close to the actor revealed, “Vivek had played the supervillain opposite Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 3. But the arch-villain in Spirit is intimidating beyond anything we’ve seen, including Bobby Deol in Animal.”
