Ram Charan has put an end to speculation surrounding the release of his much-anticipated film Peddi. The actor, who is currently busy juggling multiple projects, recently addressed rumours suggesting that the sports action drama had been delayed. Speaking at a public event, Ram Charan confirmed that the film is very much on track and locked its theatrical release date as March 27, 2026.

Addressing the ongoing chatter, the actor said, “Shooting is going on for Peddi. It will be released on March 27. Next, there’s Champion, after that Sankranthi movies are releasing, and after that we will squeeze in somewhere.” His statement reassured fans who had been concerned about possible production setbacks and further highlighted his packed shooting schedule over the coming months.
Recent reports had claimed that Peddi might not meet its planned timeline, with some suggesting that the final portions of the film would be pushed due to extensive outdoor schedules. However, sources close to the production have clarified that the film’s shoot is progressing steadily. It is being reported that the makers are planning an elaborate schedule in Delhi, where crucial portions of the film will be filmed. Additionally, several action-heavy sequences — considered vital to the narrative — are expected to be shot in January and completed within the month.
Peddi marks Ram Charan’s collaboration with filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana, who has written and directed the project. The Telugu-language sports action drama is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing and Ishan Saksena serving as co-producer. Initially shot under the working title RC16, the film was officially titled Peddi in March 2025.

The film features Ram Charan in the titular role, with Janhvi Kapoor paired opposite him. The ensemble cast also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu in pivotal roles. Principal photography began in Mysuru on November 22, 2024, and subsequently moved to Hyderabad, Sri Lanka and Pune, with filming continuing through November 2025.
Adding to the film’s scale is its music, composed by A. R. Rahman, whose original score and soundtrack are expected to play a key role in enhancing the film’s emotional and action-driven moments. With Ram Charan now officially confirming the release date, Peddi is firmly set to hit theatres on March 27, 2026, and remains one of the most awaited Telugu releases of the year.
