Vijaykanth faces health trouble; gets hospitalized in Chennai : Bollywood News

Indian politician-actor Vijaykanth is expected to have been facing health issues for the past few months. The Thyagam actor is expected to have yet again been admitted to the hospital and if reports are to be believed, he was also kept in the ICU. It is being said that he was taken in for medical treatment after he complained of cough and throat ache.

Although further details are currently being kept under wraps, reports have it that the actor was admitted to an ICU at a private hospital in Chennai and he has been undergoing treatment for the past three days.

In yet another set of reports, it is being that Health Minister Ma Subramanian had given an update about Vijaykanth’s health to assure his fans and revealed that even though he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit, his health condition is quite stable. In fact, according to recent reports, the actor-politician has also been going for regular and routine health check-ups, and it has also been asserted that he will be discharged soon. There were also reports that the actor was taken on ventilator but his near-dear ones have dismissed them as rumours.

For the unversed, Vijayakanth is an Indian politician and former actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. Before entering politics Vijayakanth was a successful actor, producer and director. His films like Amman Kovil Kizhakale, Poonthotta Kaavalkaaran, Senthoora Poove, Honest Raj, among others garnered him a massive following.

He later quit films to puruse his love for politics and became the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Vijayakanth is also the current DMDK chairman of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly, as well as the founder and president, general secretary of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) Political party.
