Popular Indian actress Trisha Krishnan on Saturday lashed out at Leo co-star Mansoor Ali Khan for his derogatory and sexist remarks. The actress said that she would ensure she never works with him in her film career. She got support from fans and Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Taking to her Instagram stories and X (previously known as Twitter), she said, “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”

For unversed, Mansoor Ali Khan held a press conference where he spoke about Leo and not getting an opportunity to share screen space with Trisha. The video went viral on the internet in which Khan was speaking in Tamil, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom, just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shoot in Kashmir.”
Following this, director of Leo, Lokesh Kanagaraj also condemned the comments and took to X to say, “Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour.”

Trisha Krishnan received support from Indian singer Chinmayi Sripada. “The thing about men like Mansoor Ali Khan – they have always been talking like this. Never been condemned, with other men in power, money and influence laughing along; eeyy aamaa da macha correct ra maccha sorta thing,” she said, listing down the various incidents when men from the Tamil industry made derogatory remarks about actresses.
“Mansoor Ali Khan will continue to get work, that’s how it works. Just like how Radha Ravi continued to despite his verbal diarrhoea on so many audio launches. Some men take pride in being openly disgusting – ‘Naan aambala ennala mudiyum. Unnala mudinja neeyum ipdi iru’. These people will never change, they live a looong time till they are 126 and keep spewing it till then. It is only when the creeps and rape apologists finally vanish that the next generation will be better off, that is, if they haven’t been brainwashed by then. Adhu varaikkum change and all no chance,” she added.
