Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan's teaser was unveiled on Friday. Mani Ratnam's next historical drama's teaser was released during a launch ceremony in Chennai. Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha, and many other actors attended the event, but it was Trisha who drew our attention.
With her dazzling good looks and, of course, her acting prowess, Trisha actress has earned a name for herself in the film industry. Trisha has also gained off-screen fame for her immaculate sense of style, which she demonstrated once again at the teaser launch. Trisha arrived wearing a lovely Kanjivaram saree. This stunning Kanjivaram is maroon in colour with large golden borders and geometric designs in gold zari with thick pallu and tassels on hem of pallu. Her six-yard was paired with a three-quarter-sleeved blouse in a complementary hue of gold. She draped her saree in a traditional manner, and her saree is from Kanakavalli's shelf, and it is really as gorgeous as she is.
Her traditional look was cinched together with a pair of statement gold earrings, a kada, golden necklace and gold statement ring. Star’s hair was pulled back in a sleek bun with gajra adorned hair, and a bindi and kohled-rimmed eyes, glossy lip colour, nude eye-shadow served as the perfect finished touches.
Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam's upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan, part 1 scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on September 30. The first part, PS-1 features a stellar cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj. The historical fiction is set during the Chola dynasty and is based on Tamil writer Kalki's classic epic work Ponniyin Selvan (The Son of Ponni).
Ponninyin Selvan is jointly produced by Mani Ratnam and Lyca Productions while Siva Ananth is the film’s Executive Producer. A.R. Rahman is the music composer.
