The trailer and audio launch of Mani Ratnam’s ambitious historical drama Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 was held in Chennai on Tuesday. The film has a star-studded cast that includes Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. The teasers, posters and the songs released so far have generated much hype among the audience. Ponniyin Selvan star Trisha, who plays Princess Kundavai, walked the red carpet in a pink saree and she looked stunning as ever.

Trisha has achieved not just on-screen popularity but also off-screen reputation for her impeccable sense of style, which she once more displayed at the trailer launch. In Trisha arrived in a gorgeous pink saree. Golden embroidery can be seen all over Trisha's saree as well as on the border and hem. She draped her saree in a traditional style over a full-sleeved pink blouse with little gold embroidered patterns strewn throughout it. Her blouse features a round neckline with gold embroidery that gives it a distinctive appearance.

A crimson bindi, hefty Jhumkas, and maang tikka capped her immaculate glam, which enhanced her appearance. She looked stunning with a sleek, centre-parted hair, little eye makeup, and defined eyes. We admired how she pulled off the look despite there being a lot of different elements to it.

Meanwhile, Ponniyin Selvan I, in contrast, tells the tale of Arul Mozhivarman (Jayam Ravi), who overthrew a coup to ascend to the throne of the Chola kingdom. Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan (Karthi), a messenger for Aditya Karikalan (Vikram), who travels through the southern kingdoms to transmit the communications between the Cholas, would be the one who tells the tale. Additionally, a relationship between Aditya and Queen Nandini was alluded to in the movie's trailer (Aishwarya). The film is set to release on September 30.
