Trailer of Vikram starrer Cobra gives us a sneak peek into his multiple disguise; reminds us of Hrithik Roshan from Dhoom 2 : Bollywood News

Cobra is expected to mark the return of Chiyaan Vikram after a hiatus of three years. The actor is expected to be seen in a unique role in the film and the trailer only gives us a sneak peek of his character. The trailer, that hit the tube last evening, seems to be garnering attention for its stunning visuals and the variety of avatars that Vikram will be seen in.

Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Cobra is expected to be a high octane thriller featuring Vikram as a mathematician. Although he claims to be a teacher, the trailer also reveals to the audience that he is definitely not the simple man he says he is and that his character has too many secrets. Srinidhi Shetty is portrayed as the love of his life whereas actress Mrinalini Ravi appears only for a brief moment in the trailer.

Speaking of Cobra trailer, it showcases multiple disguises of Vikram, spanning across countries and also gives us a glimpse of the cat-and-mouse game between him and a cop played by former cricketer Irrfan Pathan. The latter makes his acting debut with this film and will be seen as Vikram’s nemesis in the movie. Vikram’s disguises remind us of the avatars of Hrithik Roshan from Dhoom 2 where the actor donned some unbelievable disguises to carry out major high profile thefts.

On the other hand, the trailer makes a reference to the title where it claims that the character played by Vikram is just like Cobra who keeps shedding its skin and also compares his character to how a snake can hide and attack its enemies.

With music by A R Rahman, Cobra is expected to hit the big screens on August 31. Soon after the release of this Tamil film, the actor will also feature in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan aka PS-1, also starring Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, among others. It will release on September 30.
