Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh on Devara: Part 1 advance ticket sales, “Bookings in North India for the Hindi version have been low-key” : Bollywood News

While Devara: Part 1 was expected to have an equal heft at the box office, the North Indian advance sales show a worrisome timidity. Said trade guru Taran Adarsh, “While the advance bookings for Devara are tremendous and record-breaking in the Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, as well as international markets like USA, which is simply outstanding, the advance bookings in North India for the Hindi version of Devara are low-key.”

Offering a reason for this setback Taran said, “One of the reasons could be because the pre-release promotions have not been too aggressive. Also, the advance bookings for the major national chains opened yesterday on Wednesday, so let's see if the ticket pre-sales grow today. A lot depends on word of mouth and spot bookings tomorrow, when the film releases, so fingers crossed.”

Taran is hopeful the NTR magic will work in the North too. “Jr NTR is one of the finest actors of our country and his star-power is unparalleled. He returns to the big screens after the blockbuster success of RRR, so let's hope Devara lives up to the massive expectations and delivers massive numbers as well,” he said.
