Suriya and his actor father Sivakumar inaugurate Kanguva producer K. E. Gnanavel Raja’s new office in Mumbai

K.E. Gnanavel is expected to produce the period drama Thangalaan, followed by another epic saga, Kanguva.

Studio Green owned by K. E. Gnanavel Raja is one of the most popular production houses from the world of South Cinema, who is all set to make a mark in Mumbai and Hindi films. The production house has been actively in the film business for 18 years and is best known for successfully distributing blockbusters like Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) in Tamil, Suriya starrer 24, and Varun Dhawan starrer Bhediya in Tamil. As they gear up for the release of Chiyaan Vikram starrer Thangalaan, and Suriya starrer Kanguva, the producer K. E. Gnanavel Raja has recently set up an office in Mumbai.

Continuing their cinematic journey in the Indian Cinema, Studio Green is all set to take their cinema to the next scale and want to be a pillar behind pan-India films. Following the dream, they decided to open up a new setup in Mumbai and an opening ceremony of the office was held in the city, which was graced by leading man of Kanguva, Suriya and his father Sivakumar, who is a renowned veteran actor and well-respected in Tamil Cinema. The family is related to Gnanavel, because of which the latter decided to invite them to join him for this special moment.

Sharing photos from the ceremony, Gnanavel Raja announced the news with his fans and the audiences, with the caption that read, "Veteran Actor Sivakumar Ayya & Actor Suriya Anna visited and inaugurated Our Studio Green Mumbai office & Wished for our #Bollywood projects Thanks #Sivakumar Ayya and @Suriya_offl Anna. Speaking of their upcoming projects, Studio Green and K.E. Gnanavel Raja are gearing for the release of Thangalaan, which is set against the 18th century British exploitation of Kolar Gold Fields, and also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, along with Chiyaan Vikram. Directed by Pa Ranjith, it is slated for release in April this year.

On the other hand, Kanguva is expected to feature multiple eras and will feature Suriya in multiple avatars with Disha Patani, and Bobby Deol in key roles. Directed by Siva, the film is expected to release in as many as 38 languages.
