Speculation is growing around Malayalam actor Sudev Nair’s possible involvement in the upcoming action-fantasy film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has already stirred excitement with its teaser and star-studded crew - but a series of recent social media posts has led fans to believe that Sudev might be playing a pivotal role in the narrative.

Best known for his Kerala State Film Award-winning performance in My Life Partner (2014), Sudev Nair has often been praised for bringing layered intensity to his characters. His potential casting in Toxic first came into focus when director Geetu Mohandas shared a birthday post for the actor. The photo showed Sudev at a beach holding a surfboard, with the caption, “Happy Birthday to one of my fav performers.”

Fans were quick to link the post to Toxic, especially after Sudev was spotted in the film’s teaser - making him the only actor to appear visibly in the stylized, shadowy visuals released so far. The teaser’s moody tone suggests a mix of dark action and psychological drama, and Sudev’s appearance has only deepened the mystery around the film’s character line-up.

Adding more weight to the speculation, Sudev recently posted a photo with Yash on Instagram, taken on the set of Toxic. In the caption, he wrote, "Thank you @thenameisyash and our Toxic film crew for choreographing the sweetest stunt of the day. In pineapple and chocolate flavours. Unsuccessfully tried my best to break his diet. I, however, am under no such dietary regulations for my Birthday week. @geetu_mohandas @toxic_themovie @kvn.productions #rajeevravi"

Though humorous in tone, the mention of a choreographed stunt hints at his active involvement in the film’s action sequences - possibly suggesting a substantial role in the story’s high-octane segments.

While the filmmakers have not confirmed the extent of Sudev’s role, the birthday post, teaser appearance, and behind-the-scenes interactions all point to his involvement in the film’s central arc.

Apart from Toxic, Sudev Nair is also awaiting the release of his next Malayalam film Sleeplessly Yours, directed by Goutham Surya. The film is set to release in theatres on May 20, 2025.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.
