Despite being renowned name across the country, Mahesh Babu is yet to make his entry among the pan India entertainers, and it seems that the actor is keen on making it with the much-anticipated SS Rajamouli film. The yet-to-titled fantasy entertainer, which is being referred to as SSMB29 is inspired by Indian mythology and will see the Telugu superstar in a unique role. While fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the film, we hear that the wait just got longer – thanks to the extensive story and budget the film is mounted on.
As per a Deccan Chronicle report, sources have maintained that the film will take about another couple of years to be completed considering the amount of hard work and time that SS Rajamouli invests in the process of filmmaking. "Eager fans may need to exercise patience as SSMB29's production timeline suggests a lengthy two to three-year journey, typical of Rajamouli's meticulous filmmaking process. It would be globe-trotting forest adventure and would be a visual spectacle and music would be enchanting too," the source shared.
Going further, the source also reportedly added, "The period drama is set in the 1800s and it has enough potential to strike a chord with masses. More than 200 characters in the magnum opus would be seen in distinct looks and some of them belong to a special tribal sect existed in those times. Sketches of ancient looks are ready and will be finalized in the next few weeks”.
In another report published by Times Now, it was said that the actor has undergone extensive transformation for the film wherein he will be seen sporting grown hair, thick beard to play the role of the globetrotter in the fantasy adventure drama. While the report asserted that the filmmaker is expecting to kick off the schedule by January, it also said that he is currently neck deep in designing the heavy and extensive sets in the outskirts of Hyderabad. "Things may take another two to three months to clear all the decks for Rajamouli,” a source was quoted saying in this report.
Speaking about SSMB29, the film’s music is expected to be composed by MM Keeravani but further details including the rest of the star cast is currently maintained under wraps.
