SS Rajamouli opens up about untitled Mahesh Babu film SSMB29 at an event in Japan : Bollywood News

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu will be coming together for a much-anticipated massive project which is yet to be titled. The untitled venture, which is being referred to as SSMB29, has been garnering ample eyeballs especially considering that it will be the next magnum opus coming from the house of Rajamouli after the stupendous success of RRR. However, it seems that the filmmaker is keen on taking time for the same. In a recent event, he confessed that the film is still in pre-production.

Readers would be aware that every detail of the film has been raising anticipation among the audience, especially considering the one-of-a-kind collaboration of the duo. At a recent event which was attended by S.S. Rajamouli in Japan, he opened up about his future projects wherein he revealed details about SSMB29. He also mentioned that he is yet to rope in the cast of the film which apart from the leading man, is yet to be finalized. “We started my next film. We completed the writing and we are in the pre-production process. But we haven’t finished the casting yet. Only hero is locked, his name is Mahesh Babu. He is a very good actor. Many of you know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release I will bring him here,” he said during the event.

While not many details about the film, it is being said that SSMB29 is mounted on a massive scale and it is being said that it will have references of Indian mythology. It is expected to be a action adventure drama set against the backdrop of Amazon forest and will see Mahesh Babu in a never-seen-before avatar. Written by Vijayendra Prasad, the film is also said to feature Hollywood actors and it has been learnt that it will be releasing in multiple languages including English.
