Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is enjoying the stupendous success of RRR. The film has crossed Rs. 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. It features Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in special appearances. In recent times, there were conversations around Charan getting more screentime than Jr. NTR. SS Rajamouli has responded to claims that Ram Charan received more screen time in RRR than co-star Jr NTR. This follows Ram Charan's rebuttal of similar allegations, in which he stated that both he and Jr. NTR performed brilliantly in the film.

"It was not accurate to say that Charan received all the awards," he told Bollywood Hungama in an exclusive conversation. "As a director, I couldn't be more pleased with the results provided by both of them. However, depending on your point of view, one artist is better than the other. For example, I could argue that Charan was given more room during the climax because it is the final scene you remember, and it appears that Charan is getting more attention than Tarak (Jr NTR). If I had stopped the film after Komuram Bheemudo, Charan would appear to be a bystander while Tarak occupies the entire screen. As a storyteller, you should avoid making such declarations. As an audience, keep in mind your level of empathy for the characters at all times."

"If you read the story, you'll notice that Tarak saves Charan twice," he said. Charan once steps in to save Tarak. 'I was unsure of my aim for 15 years,' Charan admits at one point. Tarak paved the road for me with a single song. I thought a weapon was a physical object, but Tarak proved that a weapon is an emotion. He helped pave the way for me.' From this vantage point, Tarak appears to be the hero, with Charan simply following him. When Charan asks, 'What can I give you?' and Tarak responds, 'Give me shiksha,' Charan is the teacher and Tarak is the student," Rajamouli said. He stated that the film would not have made Rs. 1000 crores if there had not been a healthy camaraderie between the two actors.
