The grand success of the Malayalam film prompted the Telugu industry to release in the language as well. A month after releasing in Malayalam, the film released in Telugu on March 8 with the dubbing rights being purchased by Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya. At a recent, the filmmaker opened up about watching the Girish A.D. directorial and couldn’t stop praising him as well as the young cast.

At the event, SS Rajamouli continued to assert the need of releasing it in theatres and assured audiences that it is truly a fun experience. He said, “It’s meant to be watched in theatres because it’s hilarious, when the people next to you laugh, you enjoy it more.” He also further went on to elaborate on how he is often envious of the Malayalam industry and believes that their actors have more potential. “It is with jealousy and pain that I admit the Malayalam film industry produces better actors. In this film too, they did a fantastic job,” he added.

The coming-of-age romantic comedy also featured an ensemble cast comprising of Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan M, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan, Althaf Salim, among others. It released in Malayalam on February 9.
