Shruti Haasan to perform at Delhi’s North East Festival : Bollywood News

Shruti Haasan who began the year with a bang with Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy, intends to end the year on a high note as well. As she gears up for the release of her much-awaited film with Prabhas, Salaar, we hear she is all set to showcase her singing skills around the same. The actress will be performing live at the North East Festival in Delhi on December 23.

Talking about her performance at the North East Festival, a source close to the actress said, “Shruti loves performing on stage and her energy is infectious. She has performed at several prestigious venues in London and is looking forward to her Delhi gig where she will be performing her original tracks along with her band. Barring Shruti, the three-day festival will also see singers Papon and Zubeen Garg performing along with acts by Anoushka Maskey, Wangden Sherpa and Shady Mellow.”

Fans of the actress are in for a treat as they would get see Shruti’s acting and singing skills this month. Speaking of her singing career, Shruti recently released her single ‘Monster Machine’ which clocked over 1.8 million views on Youtube to date and has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Furthermore, the actress also gave a glimpse of the same in the recently released title announcement poster of Yash 19 which has been titled Toxic.

Meanwhile, on the acting front, Shruti Haasan starrer Salaar will be an action drama which will also feature Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, among others in key roles. The Prabhas starrer is directed by Prashanth Neel and will be releasing in five different languages including Hindi. Apart from that, earlier today, it was announced that the actress will be sharing screen space alongside Adivi Sesh for a Pan India mega-action drama but details of the same are kept under wraps.
